Our latest episode of the Crown Talk podcast came out this morning, as we pushed back our release this week by a day due to both of us having conflicts on Easter Sunday.
In episode four, we talked about MJ Melendez and his demotion to Omaha, once again grumbled about the state of the Royals’ offense (beyond Bobby Witt Jr.), looked at some positives to be gleaned from the Royals’ lone win against Detroit on Thursday, and looked ahead to this upcoming homestand against the Rockies and Astros.
We also discussed some prospects beyond those in Northwest Arkansas, including Jac Caglianone. I talked a little bit about Ramon Ramirez, who’s off to a strong start in Low-A Columbia, and whether or not he could surpass catching prospect Blake Mitchell this season (Mitchell is currently injured but rehabbing in Arizona).
